Hydrangeas are very popular plants to use at home and in the garden, but itís also very well possible to put in a vase. Fresh hydrangea (blue, white, pink, red) can be kept in a vase for a long time. Just make sure you use a clean vase, fresh water and preferable hydrangea, bush or cut flower food.
When the flowers are starting to hang, you can cut a slanting piece of the stem and refresh the water. Itís best to keep the flowers away from the sun.
Discolored hydrangeas (fall colors) are tougher and better kept than fresh hydrangeas. They can be kept in a vase for a long time, without using special food. They also are very usable as dry flowers.
